Social Transcript
‘Social Transcript’ manages the process of recording and documenting the academic development of students enrolled in graduate, undergraduate and associate degree programmes as well as their social, cultural, scientific and sportive activities. It also aims to contribute to students' applied education and career goals through this process.
What is Social Transcript?
Social Transcript is the transcript that is formed as a result of the processes related to the identification and systematic recording of the gains that students will obtain from the activities they participate in for their social, cultural and career development organised inside or outside the University during their education at our university.
This document, which shows activities such as workshop, scientific activity, training programme, conference, congress, concert, award ceremony, panel, sustainability activity, artistic activities, seminar, symposium, exhibition, cinema, social activity/trip, social responsibility, interview, cultural activity, sportive activity, technical trip, theatre, ceremony, workshop, webinar, competition, volunteering activities, project training (TÜBİTAK etc.), career activity, will contribute to students' career goals and planning processes.
What are the Benefits of Social Transcript?
The Social Transcript aims to encourage students to produce outside their academic fields, to ensure that they are actively involved in social activities, and to document their achievements and achievements from these activities.These activities will be included in the social transcript and will strengthen the graduate profile of the students.
The activities that can be included in the social transcript document are grouped under the following headings.
a) Communities, technology teams and organisations
b) Community service/contribution
c) Honours and awards
d) Scientific activities
e) Culture, arts and sports events
What are the Contributions of Social Transcript to the Employment Process and Vocational Education?
Employers will be able to look not only at the graduation transcript but also at the social transcript of the candidates in the processes of accepting students for vocational education or recruitment. This will provide added value to our students between our university and the workplaces, and will contribute to raising staff who are sought for work, not job seekers, and to be intertwined with all sectors, especially industry and agriculture.
How to Apply for Social Transcript?
Students who participate in the activities organised by the Social Responsibility and Volunteering Studies Coordinatorship, Student Communities affiliated to the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, Academic or Administrative units at our university can apply for Social Transcripts through the Student Information System (OBS) ‘Student Login’. Students whose applications are approved can access their Social Transcripts from the Student Affairs Unit. https://obs.beun.edu.tr/
